'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Broke! Bankrupt Bravo Star Used Andy Cohen Interview Money To Pay Off Loans

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice's money troubles are getting worse and worse with the news she had to get a loan from the gelato company she was going to partner with for an ice cream bar line.

"Teresa and [her husband] Joe were broke, broke, broke before Just Desserts gave them a loan for $50,000 in late August," a source told Radar Online. "There was no money to put gas in the family fleet of luxury vehicles, including Teresa's Mercedes. There were legal fees to pay, and of course, Teresa's glam squad consisting of hair dresser and make-up artist, were going to be needed for their work on her sentencing day."

However, after the reality star and her husband sat down with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live for their first post-sentence interview, they paid back the $50,000 loan. As MStars News reported, the couple was paid close to $325,000 for the sit-down.

Just Desserts shut down their partnership with the former Celebrity Apprentice contestant after she was sentence to 15 months behind bars for mortgage and bankruptcy fraud.

"Grocery store owners said their customers didn't want to buy anything associated with Teresa," according to Radar. "There was absolutely zero interest in the gelato bars before Teresa was sentenced, and none since."

The dessert company fired back at the suggestion that they're not dealing with the Bravo star anymore, "There is no truth to the rumors that we do not want to be in business with Teresa."

The RHONJ castmember will serve her sentence at the Danbury Correctional Facility in Connecticut, the prison that inspired Netflix hit comedy series, Orange Is the New Black.
