Elizabeth Banks Gets a "Make-Under" in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" As Effie Trinket

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1- is nearing its release date (November 21) and Effie (played by Elizabeth Banks) is getting into character by ditching her overdone makeup and relentless wardrobe.

"Effie really finds herself having to what I like to call 'Project Runway her way' through the wardrobe that's given to her," Banks said. (via Us)

The character played by the 40-year-old actress must follow the rules of District 13, and that has fans wondering what Effie will bring to the third installment of The Hunger Games.

'Effie really is a fish out of water in District 13, " Banks told E! News. "They do not have anywhere near the resource that the Capitol does. Everyone gets sort of standard wardrobe in District 13 and she of course has to put her own twist on everything...she can make anything fabulous."

As Banks and her co-stars gear up for the release date, Banks has been taking some adorable selfies with Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth to create some media buzz. (Though it's not like the Hunger Games franchise needs it!)

Regarding her outfits, Banks said, "It was like, okay, the shirt's going to be a dress and the tights are going to be the sleeves of a shirt, the sweater's going to go on my head," she explained of improvising her ensemble.
