The Big Bang Theory Season 8 Spoilers: LeVar Burton Returning as Himself

The Big Bang Theory is in the midst of Season 8 and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Some intriguing returning guest stars will be on the show later this season, including some fan favorites.

The "Matt's Inside Line" column at TVLine reports the following actors will return later this year.

"LeVar Burton will reprise his role as himself in the Nov. 20 episode - marking his third appearance on the CBS hitcom - when Sheldon invites the Star Trek vet to make an encore appearance on his "Fun with Flags" web series. (The same episode also brings back John Ross Bowie aka Sheldon's frenemy Barry and Stephen Root, as Penny's boss Don.)"

The latest episode of The Big Bang Theory was a significant one, as Sheldon finally told Amy that he loved her. This was a statement that would have been unthinkable in the early seasons of this show, and even last season it would have been hard to imagine. But the character has taken some major steps forward in recent seasons, and this was perhaps the biggest.

Here's the entire exchange between the two characters.

"Amy: Sheldon, there's something else I've been wanting to say, but before I do, I just... I want you to know that you don't have to say it back.I know you're not ready, and I don't want you to say it just because social convention dictates...

Sheldon: I love you, too.

Amy: You said it.

Sheldon: There's no denying I have feelings for you that can't be explained in any other way. I briefly considered that I had a brain parasite. But that seems even more far-fetched. The only conclusion was love."
