Featuring the popular superheroes and super villains of the DC Comics Universe, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham has announced more characters for the highly anticipated videogame. Joining the Justice League against Superman's deadliest enemy, Brainiac, get ready to play as Blue Beetle, Sinestro, and the Green Lantern Corps.

As we previously mentioned, the game centers on Brainiac, who has set his sights on our planet as his ultimate prize. The maniacal genius uses his advanced nanotechnology to claim Earth as his own toy to play with. With the Earth in danger, it looks like the Legion of Doom, which includes the Joker and Lex Luthor (Clancy Brown reprising his role), and the Super-Friends have to team-up against intergalactic warlord.

We previously reported on a special bonus level that pays homage to the Batman '66 TV series starring Adam West and Burt Ward. Gamers get a chance to play as the upbeat crime-fighting heroes. Gamers can hear West's voiceover narration as the level continues. You and the boy wonder have to put together the classed red-striped Batmobile before you can say,""Atomic batteries to power...turbines to speed."

In Characters Dev Diary, game director Arthur Parsons explains the plot, "Brainiac's turned up. He's found Green Lantern. He's found the power of the Green Lantern's ring. With the Green Lantern and all the other Green Lanterns, he's basically going to make this shrink ray and he's going to collect Earth."

In Lego Batman 3 Environments Dev Diary, lead animator Simon James describes how the setting has gotten bigger, "Going into space just gives us so many opportunities to do new and crazy animations. We've got zero gravity!"
