Based on the popular crime novels by the late author Elmore Leonard, new information has been released about the popular FX procedural/crime drama, Justified.  With Season 6 blurring the line between cop and criminal, will Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) and Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins)  become a "different animal" during the show's final found of episodes.

As we previously mentioned, in the fifth season cliffhanger, Raylan (Olyphant) was just about ready to leave Harlan to visit his wife and baby daughter, but as soon as he heard Boyd (Goggins) had teamed up with mob boss, Katherine Hale (Mary Steenburgen), Raylan wanted nothing more than to finally bring him to justice. In the closing last minutes, we discover Ava (Joelle Carter) has turned into an undercover crime informant for Raylan and will snitch on Boyd.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actor Peter Weller (RoboCop) has signed on to direct an episode of Justified. The 24 baddie has a previous history with the Raylan author, who introduced him to his wife. The Naked Lunch actor also acted in Cat Chaser and directed Gold Coast, both of which were from Leonard's novels.

Weller, who just directed the episode where Bobby Munson dies, describes Justified  as "a different animal" compared to Sons of Anarchy.

The Buckaroo Banzai actor continues, "It's dialogue-driven and a very clever line between corn-tone genius and absolute stupidity. The beautiful thing about Elmore Leonard is he never lets the smart guys call the dumb guys dumb. It's always the dumb guys calling each other dumb."

On her official Twitter account, Erica Tazel (Rachel Brooks) took a picture with her director and co-star, "I need to grow abt 8 more inches to effectively photobomb. W/ the wonderful TO & the great #PeterWeller. #Justified"

As we previously reported, Jeff Fahey has been added alongside Sam Elliott (The Big Lebowski) and Garret Dillahunt (Raising Hope) for the final season.

Justified will return January 2015. Readers, are you excited to see Peter Weller direct an episode?
