So would his career be in ruins, and would the ex-Everton gaffer struggle to get another top job? Apparently not, as the popular La Liga club, Real Sociedad, has given him a one-and-a-half-year deal. The Scottish coach built up an impressive resume, so much so that Sir Alex himself hand-picked Moyes as his own replacement. However, the Red Devils missed Sir Alex, and Moyes always appeared to be lost in the shadows at such a big EPL club. Now he has the chance to rebuild a Real side with little to no confidence or expectations. If things fail to improve, it won't be considered his fault; but if they do, he may well very well be in contention to coach a UEFA Champions League team in the coming years.

His new team announced his appointment on Monday, saying, "Real Sociedad have reached an agreement with David Moyes. Details about the official presentation of Real Sociedad's new coach and who will form part of his technical team will be published tomorrow [Tuesday] morning."
