Mario Balotelli, Dele Ali, Seydou Doumbia, Jackson Martinez & Brendan Rodgers: Liverpool Boss Demands Top Premier League Quality

Brendan Rodgers and his Liverpool side have had a torrid start to their Premier League campaign, and he has demanded that the club sign top quality players, and nothing less. Mario Balotelli was their star signing of the summer, but he's failed to live up to the hype, and now the Reds' boss has turned his attention to signing some of the following: Dele Ali, Seydou Doumbia and Jackson Martinez. He believes that two of these three players will be enough to save their season, but which stars will he land, and are they coming to help, or to replace Balotelli?

He will need to spend around $60 million to land the trio, so could he sell Balotelli and sign all of them, or will he keep the Italian forward, and sign two of them? Ali is seen as a star for tomorrow, while both Doumbia and Martinez could do exactly what Balotelli has failed to do, and that's score goals. Liverpool scored for fun last season, but they appear a mere shadow of themselves this season, and Rodgers is hoping to quickly rectify that.

He explained, saying, "We know what targets we wanted and what was out there, but for one reason or another they are not here and gone elsewhere. We work with what we've got and look to improve what we've got and get back to somewhere near the level we've shown over the last 18 months."
