Last night LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers took on the New Orleans Pelicans, and it's safe to say the 'King' got the better of up-and-comer Anthony Davis, who has been widely tipped to challenge him as the elite star of the NBA. In fact, James had a triple-double, and was all smiles, but he might be frowning today, as the NBA have reviewed a play, and admitted wrongly awarding him the triple-double, reports Sports IllustratedHowever, James had a stunning game, and this might be the start of something much, much bigger than a one-game statistic.

ESPN reported that LeBron insisted that "It worked out. It's good when you put something out there and it comes true. I owed them one, and many more as well. Tonight we took care of business." His teammate Kyrie Irving, evidently agreed, saying, "This is special. We played well as a group."

Was Davis fuming at his loss? Nope, he explained, saying, "In order for you to become one of the best you have to play the best and learn from them. I love playing against LeBron and the Cavs. They're a tough team. They have three players who can score the ball at will. We broke down defensively. They scored 118 points. We can't allow teams to do that."

Can Davis top Lebron, and will this (removed) triple-double lead him to an NBA championship this season? Only time will tell, but LBJ is a man of his words, and right now he seems the team-first player the organization needed so badly.
