Taylor Swift 'Red' Album: Will Debut New Song at 2012 VMAs

MTV announced that pop star sweetheart Taylor Swift will be debuting a new song from her upcoming album “Red” during a performance at the 2012 VMAs which will air in September.

Other previously announced 2012 VMA performers including Pink, Green Day, One Direction, and Alicia Keys. Comedian Kevin Hart will host.
Swift’s highly anticipated fourth studio album “Red” is set to be released October 22. The lead single from “Red” has already hit the airwaves – “We are Never Ever Getting Back Together” was released on Aug. 14 and has already made it on the Billboard Hot 100 (debuting at no. 72).

Although not nominated for any VMA awards (Swift’s last album, “Speak Now,” was released in 2010) the six-time Grammy winner will surely cause a stir with her performance at the 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards.

The 2012 MTV VMAs will air on Thursday, September 6 at 8 p.m. ET.
