This week's episode of The Goldbergs was full of games, but not all of them were fun. "Big Baby Ball" revolves around board games and the art of dodgeball, which Adam cannot handle.

The episode begins with Erica and Barry playing all kinds of games together including Hungry Hippos, Sorry and Candyland. The two oldest Goldbergs challenge each other to any game possible and they are very competitive. Barry even plays Girl Talk in order to add a championship to his record. When a new game arrives... Trivial Pursuit, the stakes are even higher. When Erica dominates at the game Barry is pissed and storms off.

In gym class Adam is forced to play dodgeball and it doesn't go well. When Adam comes home with a bruised face Beverly freaks out. She is determined to put an end to dodgeball at the school all together. When she talks to the PE teacher things get out of hand and he promises her he will not back down.

The next day in school, the teacher explains that they will no longer be playing dodgeball at the request of a crazy parent. Instead he creates a new game called "Big Baby Ball," which is dodgeball but instead of teams it is the whole group against Adam... yikes.

When Adam comes home and tells his mom about being called out in class, she is even more upset. Even after Murray tells her to stop butting in she can't and she goes to straight to the principal and gets the PE teacher fired.

Meanwhile Barry challenges Erica to another game of Trivial Pursuit and he magically knows all the answers. Erica can see right through him so she pulls a card from the middle of the deck and he gets it wrong. She knows he was cheating and it is clear he has lost it.

The next day Barry creates a new game called Barry-nopoly, which is a combination of all the games he loves, but is basically all about him. Erica rises to the challenge and literally beats him at his own game by winning an arm wrestling match. It is hilarious and sad, because Barry reveals that Erica is good at everything and he never wins at anything.

Back to Beverly, she doesn't care that she got the PE teacher fired, but Murray does. He hires him at the furniture store and it is not a good situation. The poor PE teacher is crazy and overworks at the office and scares shoppers. That night he comes to the Goldbergs' house and apologizes for everything and Beverly feels bad. She ends up getting him his job back by agreeing not to go to school for a whole year.

The same day Erica challenges Barry to one more game of Trivial Pursuit, saying that if Barry wins they never play it again. At first Barry doesn't want to play but he gives in. He totally dominates, because Erica is secretly asking him questions from the kid's version of the game, and he is really happy. When he wins the game he starts kicking and celebrating. Erica is clearly a really awesome big sister.

At the end of the episode Barry teaches Beverly how to play Barry-nopoly and she loves it. When it comes time to arm-wrestle him, she lets him win and enjoys every second of it.
