This week's episode of Nashville picks up two months after the previous episode. "I'm Coming Home To You," revolves around Rayna's magazine spread and Gunnar's new role as a father. Plus, Juliette tries to navigate being pregnant with Avery's baby.

The episode begins with Luke, Deacon and Will returning from tour to Nashville. As Will heads to Gunnar's house to escape his failing marriage, Deacon tries to leave Pam in the past and Luke prepares to reunite for two days with Rayna.

Meanwhile, Rayna is in Los Angeles performing her new single on Dancing With the Stars before catching the red eye home for the weekend. Even though she wants to spend time with her family, she manages to land the cover of Rolling Stone, so a reporter will be with her all weekend trying to find the best story about her life, which does not make Luke happy.

As Juliette and Avery are trying to figure out how they are going to make having a baby together work, they are fighting about everything. Avery doesn't want to help her in Lamaze classes, because he is not happy with her and Juliette feels alone.

Gunnar is embracing being a father and loves taking care of Micah, but Zoey is getting tired of having to care for him when Kiley decides not to pick him up on time. Plus, she isn't working right now, so she feels sad about her career path. After talking to Gunnar, Will heads home to see Layla, who looks healthy again. They actually have a nice conversation and Layla invites Will to come see her perform her new song.

In a switch to Scarlett, she is on a roll with songwriting while Deacon is trying to recuperate at home after the tour. As he is getting sicker, Scarlett is reconnecting with Terry. After Terry leaves a note and a harmonica for Scarlett, she finds him and asks him to write more music with her. While they are bonding over music he reveals that his family was killed while driving to see him perform and that is when he walked away from the music world.

When Juliette is at home she tell her assistant Emily that she needs a meeting with Rayna. As soon as she figures out that Rayna is doing press, she storms over to the Highway 65 offices and demands a meeting. She starts to cry about her troubles with Avery and Rayna tells her to write that song and then they will talk.

Juliette goes home and writes a beautiful and sad song about losing everything she loves. As she is recording the song, Avery stops by to drop off the crib and he hears her singing. She realizes he is watching and stops long enough to reveal that he got the wrong crib. He quickly takes it back and leaves before she can say anything else.

In Rayna's world, the Rolling Stone writer is following her everywhere and intruding on her wedding planning. When she goes to pick out a cake with Luke he gets pissed that the reporter is there and storms off.

Back to Gunnar, he finally takes Zoey on a date to see Layla perform and they are all blown away with how good she actually is. The song is strong and heartfelt and full of pain that she has endure as a result of marrying Will. Layla thanks Will for giving her the hurt that helped her find her voice.

The next day Gunnar goes to talk to Kiley about being better about picking Micah up on time and she is crying. She reveals that her boyfriend just broke up for her because she finally told him about Micah. Gunnar consoles her and tells her to stay in Nashville with Micah and they can all work through it.

In Deacon's world, Pam stops by his house to give him soup because he is sick from touring. He invites her in and they talk about the tour and Rayna and how she has always been his life. When she goes to leave Deacon thanks her for everything and they both agree that tour life and love is not real life.

Scarlett learns that Terry was actually an amazing singer with chart topping hits and she tells him that she wants him to play at the Bluebird. He says he will do it for her. On the night of the performance he tells he will not go on stage without her. She reluctantly agrees and the two of them face their fears together. The song is amazing and you can tell they are both so talented.

After starting to make up, Will and Layla attend the premiere of their reality show and they are both unhappy with the results. Layla is portrayed as a dumb housewife and Will is never wearing a shirt. As they both are freaking out about the series, the producer tells them they signed contracts and that they edited the footage to create a successful show, so get used to it.

Back to Avery, Emily pays him a visit to tell him that even though he is mad at Juliette, she and the baby are one until he or she is born. She also tells him that Juliette asked her to be her birthing coach and that he should be the one in the delivery room, not her. He realizes she is right and shows up to Juliette's Lamaze class and decided to support her. He puts his hands on her stomach and feels the baby kick for the first time and it is adorable.

In a switch to Rayna, she leaves the cake tasting (even though Luke is mad at her) and the duo head home with the reporter by their side. When the walk in they find Maddie and Colt making out on the couch! The reporter sees everything and it is not good. Luke yells at Colt while Rayna tells Maddie to stop her feelings because it will cause her pain and negative press.

Rayna then goes to talk to the reporter in order to try and fix the problem and ask him not to run the Maddie story. She tells him that although she agreed to have her life exposed she didn't agree to have her children's lives revealed. He tells her that combining her family with Luke's is the story and he is going to run it. In order to save Maddie she offers him another story... the story of her and Deacon!

As she takes a trip down memory lane it is clear that this story is going to be good. The reporter isn't holding back with his questions and he isn't afraid to dig deep. She feels dirty as she leaves the interview... we cannot wait to see what the actual story is. Rayna then returns home to Luke and they dance on what was originally supposed to be their wedding night and they even say fake vows-ugh.

In the final moments Zoey is pissed that Kiley is late yet again to pick up Micah, so Gunnar calls her to check in. When he gets a hold of her she tells him she is going after her boyfriend and that she loves Micah, but he is the better parent for him. She hangs up the phone and Gunnar is now a single parent!
