We're curious which was more of a rocky ride: Bono and U2's whole Songs of Innocence Apple iTunes free download debacle or a more recent mishap where the rear hatch of his private jet opened mid-flight and came off while he was heading to Germany. Or, of course, there's the incident where Foo Fighters' drummer Taylor Hawkins said the iconic Irish rock group's new album "sounds like a fart." That was pretty bumpy too.

The Hollywood Reporter is noting that during the flight to Germany, a "big thud" was heard from the rear of the plane. The Irish Daily Mail reports that, "They were startled for a bit but they continued on and made the descent into Berlin airport."

And from the sound of it, it's a good thing they landed when they did because upon landing, the group discovered that not only had the entire compartment of the rear of the plane DETATCHED from the plane, but "the entire door along with Bono and his companions' luggage had fallen out mid-air. They don't know if the door and the contents landed over water or land but they were extremely lucky."

The Daily Mail adds, "They were at an altitude where anything could have happened and they are all feeling very lucky to be alive."

So, we're curious if someone was lucky enough to find some Bono-wear on the ground.

Hop on over to the Irish Daily Mail for pictures of the musician's almost $80 million Learjet. Yes, that's right –– Bono has an almost $80 million plane.

Luggage aside, U2 made headlines this past summer when they partnered with Apple to release a free download of their newest album Songs of Innocence. And while many people would (you'd think) be delighted at the thought of a free album, apparently they were anything but. Which is why Apple had to make an app to remove the thing from consumers' Apple devices.

Afterwards, the band recently apologized, calling it a "drop of megalomania." Watch the apology below:
