LMFAO's Redfoo Forced To Apologize For Year's Most Sexist, Misogynist Song After Wikipedia Hack

Redfoo literally can apologize for the offense caused by the release of "Literally I Can't", the song branded sexist, misogynist and called the worst song of the year by Salon. The song, which sees the rapper, along with Play-N-Skillz, Enertia McFly and Lil Jon belligerently berating a group of women in a frat house and constantly telling them to "Shut the f-k up", has been roundly criticised for attitudes to women.   

Taking to his Facebook page, Redfoo apologized for the offense the song caused, saying in the future he "will be more mindful of the way" he presents his "art".  

The post reads:

"To my fans, friends & family who, in my mind, are one in the same,

I love you all.

Over the years, you've connected with me through my music, art & our personal interactions. My greatest joy & mission from day one has been to entertain people from all walks of life: the kids, parents, teens, ladies, gentlemen, cops & even the robbers.

I get excited to create things that will unite all of us through laughter, dance & celebration. If during that process I offend anyone, I apologize from the bottom of my heart. In the future I will be more mindful of the way I present my art."

Meanwhile, as The Daily Telegraph reports calls for Redfoo to be sacked as a judge on the Australian version of The X Factor, people outraged by "Literally I Can't" took to Redfoo's Wikipedia page, and changed the contents to reflect their opinion on the controversial figure. Australian newspaper the Sydney Morning Herald managed to get a screenshot of the changes before they were quickly taken down. 

The changes added contents to the opening description of Redfoo, adding the he "unfortunately did not inherit any of his father's musical talent and has instead spent the last few years defecating out kitschy, tacky music, set to catchy beats in order to appeal to the lowest common denominator."

It went on, saying "Literally I Can't, a track which he gleefully exacerbates rape culture, encouraging women to shut the f-- up because he is unable to simply address them as human beings."

The apology comes after Redfoo initially took to Twitter to defend himself and the song, which includes lyrics such as: "While I'm at my motherf-king table and I'm trying to dance, don't f-king talk to me," "You got a big o'l butt, I can tell from the way you're walking / but you annoy me, because you're talking" and "Shhh.. don't talk about it be about it / work it, and twerk it, and maybe I'll tweet about it."
