Poppy Montgomery Welcomes A Baby Boy With Husband Shawn Sanford

Actress Poppy Montgomery is a mom again! The Unforgettable star and her husband Shawn Sanford welcomed their second child together on Tuesday. Poppy is now mother to three children, having another son from her previous marriage.

People exclusively reported that the actress welcomed her third child on Nov.11 in Los Angeles. "Mom and baby are doing well," the actress's rep said in a statement. The publication revealed that Poppy and Shawn welcomed a healthy baby boy named Gus Monroe Deveraux Sanford this week.

Gus weighed 7 lbs., 4 oz. and measured 20.5 inches along according to People. Shawn and Poppy also have a 19-month-old daughter together named Violet Grace. The 42-year-old actress also has son Jackson, six-years-old, while Shawn has two other children daughter Haley and son Braydon from a previous marriage as well.

In July, the Without a Trace star finally announced that she was expecting her third child on the Late Show with David Letterman via Us Weekly. "I'm expecting! I'm far down the road of expecting ... I'm six months pregnant," the actress told David Letterman. She added, "[I've] been hiding it until this very moment."

"I've been filming my show, I've been doing all my stunts and running and leaping, but I haven't told anybody because I didn't want them to treat me differently, but I do. I want people to give me their seats. I want them to open doors," Poppy laughed on the show.

As for the name of her son, Poppy revealed in July on her People blog that it was going to be a big decision. "A name. THE name. The name that my unborn son will carry with him for the rest of his life. What if I mess it up?" she said.

She shared a story about her first son's name, which was originally Jack, until her in-law changed her mind and she named him Jackson. "'This is the greatest gift I will ever give my grandson,'" (grandpa Kaufman) with a little smile. Then simply, 'I want you to say Jack Kaufman three times fast,'" Poppy recalled. "I did it. Jack very quickly became Jackson (try it yourself to see why!) and as it turns out, Jackson is the perfect name for him."

Her daughter Violet's name came about in a simpler way. "Violet Grace. Violet the color of purpose, the blue violet flower symbolizes faithfulness and love, whilst Grace comes from the Latin 'gratia' meaning God's favor," she wrote.
