What happens when the Prince meets the King? Well, when British royal couple Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton meet the king of the NBA, LeBron James, we'll find out, as the royal couple's plans to attend the Brooklyn Nets-Cleveland Cavaliers game at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Dec. 8 have been revealed.

USAToday's Jeff Zillgiit is reporting that the British royal couple - who will be in the US on a whirlwind, three day trip to promote their anti-poaching wildlife charity United For Wildlife  - will be in attendance for the marquee NBA matchup. In addition to perhaps the King giving the Prince some tips on his jumpshot, the pair will be at the game to "launch initiative between Royal Foundation, United for Wildlife and NBA", reports Zillgiit.

Princess Kate is pregnant with the couple's second child, and according to People just received congratulations on her bump from pop royalty in the form of One Direction. Reports aren't yet clear whether or not their son Prince George will be along for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's USA trip.

The pair will reportedly be meeting with officials from charities from around the world, as well as conservationists to discuss anti-poaching measures, reports The Daily Mail. The Mirror have also added that they suspect they will visit some of New York's sights, saying "It is believed William and Kate's itinerary may include a visit to some of the city's famous monuments and a trip to Ground Zero."

As reported by the International Business Times, their last overseas trip was scuttled at the last minute by the Princess' severe morning sickness, saying "her last planned trip to Malta had to be cancelled due to severe morning sickness. The Princess is in the second trimester of her pregnancy and has now recovered from the unsettling symptoms".

Mstarsnews have also reported about the scramble between US TV networks to secure an interview with the royal couple while they're in NYC, with The Today Show and Good Morning America vying for the interview coup.

Last year, Sir Paul McCartney attended a Brooklyn Nets game against the Philadelphia 76ers, and was upset he didn't get a T-shirt. Perhaps Prince William and Kate will have better luck than Macca.
