'The Mindy Project' Guest Star News, Plus The Cast Imagines A ‘Scandal’ Crossover

The Mindy Project is already full of amazing actors and now the show will be adding another hit actor to guest star this season. Pushing Daisies Lee Pace will be guest starring in season three of the Fox comedy. Plus the hilarious cast reveals what their characters would do if they were in a Scandal crossover episode.

E! Online exclusively reported that Lee Pace would be joining The Mindy Project this season as Alex, the man who took Mindy's virginity in college. According to the publication he is a "handsome San Francisco tech millionaire who took Mindy's virginity back when he was a dorky college student."

Lee is the latest in a series of fun guest stars in season three of the series. Fargo's Allison Tolman recently played Abby Berman Peter's short-lived girlfriend. Plus, Julia Stiles is slated to appear later this season as a love interest for Morgan.

In a recent exclusive interview with E! Online the cast opened up about what their characters would do in the event of a Scandal crossover. Mindy Kaling, Adam Pally and Ike Barinholtz are all hilarious in their answers.

"I feel like I could run a coffee house where the president likes to go to bang a barista. And then Kerry Washington finds out and she has to come to the coffee house," Adam exclusively told E! Online about his character Peter's possible storyline on the series. "And then I'm like, 'oh, what are you doing here?' and she's like 'I'm fixing a scandal' and I'm like, 'oh, would you like a macchiato?'"

What about Mindy herself... what would she do if she appeared in Scandal? "Probably sexual harassment scandal, I would bet, given the way that her character talks and acts. I could see like Morgan and her in some kind of sexual harassment thing," Mindy revealed. "She also says crazy stuff all the time so maybe like a liable suit put against her. She's just short of homicide and everything bad you can do as a character."

Last but certainly not least, Ike explained that he envisioned Morgan's scandal having to do with dogs, obviously. "If Morgan were to have a scandal it would involve dogs, I'm thinking. Maybe he like erroneously thought that a celebrity was miss treating a dog. Like he thought Beyoncé and Jay Z were mistreating a dog," Ike said.

"So what he does is steal the dog, gets in trouble, calls Olivia, she gets him out of it, out of the scandal and then in the end Olivia, Morgan, Jay Z and Beyoncé all are friends and they have a great dinner somewhere. And Morgan and Olivia sleep together."
