Aaron Sorkin's critically acclaimed HBO political drama, The Newsroom, returned for its season 3 premiere. In the final season, as the breaking news affects the personal and professional lives of the ACN team, will anchorman Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) have to learn how to 'Run?'

As we previously mentioned, The Newsroom centers on the ACN cable news team as they struggle to keep their their personal beliefs from mixing with their professional judgment. With their journalistic integrity compromised, is there any way the news team can jump back and recover their prominence again? Now that they are engaged, can Will MacAvoy (Daniels) and MacKenzie McHale (Emily Mortimer) make it down the aisle as their wedding date looms closer?

In our recent recap, Sloan Sabbith (Olivia Munn) discovered the cable company was facing a hostile takeover. Due to budget cuts, Reese Lansing (Chris Messina) may have to hand out pink slips to McAvoy and his news team if they don't bring ratings back up. Neal Sampat (Dev Patel) may have ended his promising career after receiving classified government files from his whistleblower.

In the preview of Run, you know things have gotten bad when the ACN news team has to hire lawyer Rebecca Halliday (Marcia Gay Harden), who handled the Genoa debacle. It looks like Neal has committed espionage and is headed to jail if he doesn't give up his source. We've seen Kat Dennings' comedic timing on 2 Broke Girls, let's see how she does on this intense drama.

As one of our major reasons we must see this third season, Jane Fonda is also back as owner Leona Lansing. Fonda is just riveting on-screen as she delivers Sorkin's dialogue like a firecracker.

The Newsroom continues its final season on HBO, Sundays at 9pm. Readers, are you excited to see Run?
