Plenty of fans knew of Chris Pratt thanks to his role as Andy Dwyer on the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, but he became much more of a household name when he starred in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy earlier this year. The movie became one of the highest-grossing films of 2014, and Pratt's work as Peter Quill aka Star-Lord had a lot to do with that.

Pratt is currently shooting the final season of Parks and Recreation and the filming ends in mid-December. His schedule should then lighten a bit, which prompted Zap2It to ask the actor during a press event for the final season of the sitcom if he would be open to an appearance on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which is currently in Season 2.

"I wouldn't rule it out," Pratt replied. "Marvel would have to decide, but if it made sense for the brand and for the story, yeah, sure."

This is obviously an exciting prospect, but it's also not likely to get the green light from Marvel. Consider that Star-Lord is literally in a completely different galaxy and with Guardians of the Galaxy 2 coming in a couple of years, it's unlikely the character would suddenly pop up on Earth. But hey, stranger things have happened, right?

For what it's worth, Robert Downey Jr. and Jeremy Renner have both stated they would be open to appearing on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. under the right circumstances.

Would you like to see Pratt on the ABC series? Do you think it would make sense for Star-Lord to show up alongside Phil Coulson and the rest? Let us know in the comments section.
