Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore is riding high now that co-star Phaedra Parks's husband Apollo Nida admitted to lying about the reality star. But she isn't backing down when it comes to the fallout from the accusations against her.
"I'm not a fan of anyone who acts in a malicious manner to defame me, to malign me, to tell lies, to slander me," she told E! News. "Phaedra has gone on national platforms and called me a whore ... She has shown her true colors."
When asked why the Celebrity Apprentice contestant wasn't more vocal denying the allegations, she blamed Phaedra and Apollo for it being spread.
"I'm watching the lies being told as everyone else," the "Gone with the Wind Fabulous" singer said. "When I tried to speak directly to Phaedra or Apollo about it, they would always skirt the issue like they're over it or they're moving forward just so I could not defend myself."
"I feel vindicated because the truth is finally out," the Bravo star continued. "It's better late than never. The damage has already been done, but I feel better."
Another one of her costars, NeNe Leakes, is getting in the middle of the fray, saying the rumors were out there for a reason and it's Kenya who's to blame.
"We have a provoking bully that wants you to now believe she's a victim," she wrote on her website. "I can't keep up, but I know you can, so why worry about people that talk behind your back? They're behind you for a reason, right?"
As MStars News reported, Sunday night's Nov. 16 episode of RHOA shocked viewers when the convict apologized to Kenya for making up stories that they saw each other in Los Angeles and she offered him fellatio. No word yet from Phaedra about her husband's admission.
