Ryan Gosling People's ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ RUMORS: Eva Mendes' Baby Daddy Reportedly Turned Down Title Multiple Times Over The Years!

News broke earlier this week that Thor and Avengers star Chris Hemsworth was named "Sexiest Man Alive" by People Magazine, thus leading to plenty of reactions all over the nation, but honestly there hasn't been much argument. Amidst the excitement of another actor winning this title, a rumor popped up suggesting that Ryan Gosling, who has never "won" this accolade, has repeatedly turned down the honor "multiple times" over the years! While it makes complete sense that the Marvel hunk received this honor this year, would you have wanted Gosling to win? Perhaps last year or the year before should've been Ryan's year- or maybe back when The Notebook came out? Whatever year you think he should've won, apparently he disagrees!

This speculation comes from The Wrap (which usually sticks to casting rumors and not gossip like this), claiming a source at People revealed the news.

"They tried a few times, especially during his huge year in 2011," this insider explained, adding that Gosling's team kept turning it down. "The consensus was he's too serious for it, too artsy."

We've learned that Gosling's team has been contacted about this, but has yet to respond.

Meanwhile Jess Cagle, People's editorial director, did comment on this rumor, saying, "While I look forward to the day when Ryan Gosling is named Sexiest Man Alive, this was not his year. Our 2014 honoree Chris Hemsworth was our first and only choice."

Cagle added: "If you want to know why, just look at him. I mean, seriously."
