Hot off the heels off of Marvel's Daredevil, the search has begun for the leading role in the next Netflix series. Actresses Krysten Ritter, Alexandra Daddario, Teresa Palmer, Marin Ireland, Jessica De Gouw are all being vying for the same role as the super heroine in Marvel's Jessica Jones.
Deadline reports Marvel is already testing a lineup of actresses for the lead in the comic book/superhero drama. Notice how all these leading ladies significantly fall within the 25-33 age range. Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg has been tapped to penn the Netflix show.
In the Marvel Universe, Jessica Jones made her debut in the Alias series by Brian Michael Bendis (Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man) and Michael Gaydos (The Pulse). Because she suffers from post-traumatic stress, Jones gives up her superhero costume and becomes the owner at Alias Private Investigations.

We previously mentioned that Jessica Jones is part of Marvel/Netflix's list of superhero dramas. As we mentioned before, each show will lead into The Defenders, which puts together Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones as one superhero team.
Whoever lands the role will definitely hit mainstream audiences in a big way. Audiences, including MStars News, were clamoring for more after they saw footage from Marvel's Daredevil at New York Comic Con.
