The world found out about Carrie Underwood's sex of her baby in the most least-intimate way possible when Brad Paisley revealed it was a boy at the CMA Awards!

For the Something in the Water singer, her and hubby Mike Fisher found out in the most adorable way, at a romantic dinner for two! "[It was] just the two of us a nicer setting, but we both knew," the country singer told ABC News Radio. "So, that was just confirming our suspicions. We didn't really speak of it before because we were both just like, 'Whatever. It's all good.' But we knew it was a boy."

When her and hockey player husband went into the ultrasound they would look away when the technician got around to certain parts. They had their doctor write down the baby's sex and the couple would decide when to open the life-changing note.

"It's kind of a sterile place," she said. "We got to see all the pictures and everything. It was really cool to see that..."

So what does she think of Paisley's sudden announcement? Of course – in true Carrie Underwood form – she was sweet about the matter. "Brad's got loose lips. He's a blamer mouth!" she joked. " So, I was like, 'I'm not gonna tell you until we're ready for the rest of the world to know, because I now you'll tell people.'"

The couple broke their baby news in early September via Instagram.

"In honor of 'Labor' Day, Ace & Penny [Her dogs] would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier..." Underwood, 31, captioned the photo.
