This week's episode of The Goldbergs is all about the ladies of the house. "A Goldberg Thanksgiving" revolves around Beverly and Erica's Thanksgiving challenge and what happens when their family dinner is threatened.

The episode begins with Adam talking about their Thanksgiving traditions, which include him knowing nothing about football and Pops making a drunken speech about one of the many women he has slept with. Other traditions include Uncle Marv getting in a fight with Murray and Beverly and Erica cooking all day together.

As Beverly tries to get Erica excited to cook Thanksgiving dinner, she starts to drag her feet. Beverly obviously guilt trips her into cooking with her because it is what Nana would have wanted. Later that day Beverly is getting into her jazzercise routine when Erica starts to make fun of her.

Beverly then makes Erica a deal... if she can make it through a whole jazzercise class then she doesn't have to cook Thanksgiving dinner, but if she can't make it the whole hour then she has to do jazzercise three times a week with her. Erica takes the deal and Beverly is pumped.

Meanwhile Adam is falling in love with Nintendo and Murray doesn't understand video games at all. When uncle Marv shows up at the house he tells the guys that he is now a beeper salesman and Barry thinks it is awesome. Marv and Adam then hangout all day playing video games and going to the movies, which makes Murray unhappy. He realizes that he doesn't like his brother bonding with his son, because he is jealous of their relationship.

In a switch to the jazzercise class Beverly makes fun of Erica's outfit because she is not wearing spandex like everyone else in the class. Erica wins the challenge because she totally keeps up during the whole hour. Now that she doesn't have to cook Thanksgiving dinner, Beverly is starting to lose her mind.

On Thanksgiving morning Murray tries to bond with Adam by playing video games with him. When they start fighting he accidentally breaks the new Nintendo glove that Marv bought Adam and it makes him even more upset.

Back to Beverly and Erica, Beverly decides to challenge her to a rematch, this time a race while speed walking. Erica agrees to the challenge but ups the stakes. If Erica wins she can go to her friend's house for Thanksgiving and if she loses she has to stay by Beverly's side and obviously cook dinner.

When they race Erica wins after cheating and Barry is the judge, which is always funny to watch. Beverly goes down with a groin injury so Barry decides to help her cook the family dinner. As Erica goes to leave the house Beverly jumps up and breaks her cover... she was never hurt! Everyone gets pissed and then Murray and Marv starting fighting as well and he storms off with a pie.

Murray tries to make amends with Adam and he learns that Adam was only hanging out with Marv because he thought it was nice to have someone who liked the same things as him for once. Murray then discovers his brother hiding in his basement and they make up too.

Meanwhile, Erica goes to leave for the weekend when Pops has one of his heart-to-heart conversations with her. He tells her that her mom only likes Thanksgiving this much because it reminds her of her mother whom she lost when she was only 17-years-old. Erica feels horrible and goes back inside and helps her mom make the perfect Thanksgiving meal.

Pops tops off the night by toasting to his wife, the perfect woman instead of talking about one of his slutty conquests. Later that night Murray and Adam bond over video games and it is really sweet. Barry then decides to create his own business using the beeper as a lawn mower. He calls himself the "grass king," so people assume he is selling drugs, which is hilarious.
