Ever since the blue-skinned alien creature showed up midway through Season 1 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., fans have wondered about its identity. Could it be Kree, Inhuman or something else altogether? Now, as the show rolls through its vastly improved Season 2, executive producer Jeffrey Bell has dropped some spoilers about the alien's identity.

Bell spoke to TV Guide and confirmed that the blue alien is in fact a member of the Kree alien race. "Our people don't know anything about the Kree or that there's a planet full of them," he said. "What they do know is that the strange carvings created by Coulson after he was injected with the Kree serum are actually the map of a city, and they need to find that city before Hydra does. But where is it? Here or on another planet?"

We will presumably receive more answers and more questions in the Dec. 2 episode when Coulson and his team reach the alien city.

Chloe Bennet also spoke to TV Guide and revealed some tidbits about Skye and Raina. "You'll find out that Skye and Raina have something in common - and it's not that they're brunettes," Bennet said with a laugh. "Some of our überfans think the two of them are aliens. Or maybe they're something else - something different and special. It's all leading to a reveal that's mother-effing crazy."

Bennet also addressed the relationship between Skye and Ward and said she's still holding out hope for the two of them. "Yeah, I know Grant's a pathological liar who was playing everyone at S.H.I.E.L.D., but he wasn't fake about his feelings for Skye," she said. "I have to believe that. I have to have my ounce of hope!"
