Miley Cyrus Haircut 2012: Lesbian Jokes Sparks New Friendship With Evan Rachael Wood on Twitter

Miley Cyrus' haircut in August 2012 sparked a load of Twitter comments debating Cyrus' sexuality.  Her new hair caused many to say that Cyrus now looks more like a "lesbian" despite the fact that she is engaged to be married to long time boyfriend Liam Hemsworth soon.  

Her new hair was widely accepted and praised by her lesbian fans.  One bisexual Hollywood actress, Evan Rachael Wood, who had previously joked about Cyrus "gay vibes" defended herself on Twitter.  Cyrus ended up joining the conversation.

"Ok. To be clear. I believe you should be able to joke and have a sense of humor about everything," Wood tweeted in preparation before giving her explanation," Wood tweeted.

"And i hate explaining, but just to be clear, i dont judge people on how they look. Nor do i associate a hair style with sexuality."

"I myself am bisexual and have always "joked" about miley giving me gay vibes. Not a bad thing! Just an observation."

She added that she was merely joking that Cyrus' new haircut supported her case.  "But, i am not so close minded or into stereotypes or labeling. It was a joke."

Wood went on to write a message to reveal her support for Cyrus.  "I could care less what gender she was attracted to. But dont hate me for supporting her in whatever She chooses. Its all fine by me."

Surprisingly, Cyrus joined in and added her approval of Wood's defense with, "well said! [three heart symbols]".

The 19-year-old star then initiated a new Twitter friendship with Wood.  "Follow me" Cyrus tweeted. "Let's be friends."

Wood later gushed, "Now @Mileycyrus and i are friends. Let this be a lesson to all of you ;)"
