Monday night is an all-new episode of Dancing With the Stars and it's a big one. The season finale starts on Monday on ABC, but before the show judge Carrie Ann Inaba is sharing her thoughts on the final four couples.

"This to me is by far the closest competition we have had in a long time," veteran judge Carrie Ann told TVGuide.com. "I'm really interested to see how it's all going to play out. ... At this stage, it could be any of them. It's going to be great."

The final four couples are Pretty Little Liars' Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy, Duck Dynasty's Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas, Bethany Mota and Derek Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson. Although Alfonso is hurt, he is still a serious contender for the championship title.

"Watching him, I have a mixture of emotions. A, I feel really badly for him because he's so close and he's done so well, and he really has a good shot. He's been the quiet frontrunner, I'd say throughout this season, and he's set the bar for this season. So it's sad to see, so close to the finish, that he has to struggle so much," she explained to the publication.

The DWTS judge revealed what she thought each pair needed to do in order to win the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy on Tuesday night (which is the second night of the two-part finale).

For Janel and Val, Carrie Ann said, "I don't want her to get so serious and so gritty that we lose the lightness and the fun factor of the dance. Because this season has an innocence to it. It's a very G-rated season otherwise, and people like that. I think it feels really fresh and happy, and I think that she needs to stay in that vibe."

As for Sadie and Mark, their path to the Mirror Ball isn't as complicated. "If she comes out and starts to overthink it or is not confident, it could really work against her. ... As long as she can stay focused [she can win]," she said.

Bethany and Derek are serious performers in this competition and in order to win they have to keep their eye on the prize. "If she can stay focused the whole way through, she is fierce," Carrie Ann explained. "She found that she actually has her own way of moving and she really found confidence in herself."

Last but not least, Alfonso (who is the only man left in the competition) and Witney need to really keep an eye on his injury going into the finals. "If his back is hurting, it's going to be a painful dance to do. I wanted to call the producers and say, 'Can we change it? That's not fair,'" the judge admitted.

"But it's also one of the dances that he could do incredibly well, and if he did it well, it would be a show-stopper. It would just blow the roof off the ballroom. So, hopefully he'll be able to summon his strength from his core, protect his back, and give us that charisma that he always does."
