Did Odell Beckham Jr just take the catch of the century? During last night's Sunday Night Football showdown between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants, the game between the longtime NFC East rivals produced one of the single greatest catches in NFL history when Giants wide receiver Beckham Jr caught a stunning one-handed touchdown pass from quarterback Eli Manning

The catch occurred during the Giants first play of the second quarter, as Beckham Jr beat out Dallas cornerback Brandon Carr to take "the best catch ever", according to Dallas fan LeBron James. As the NFL tweeted out, the catch took on Kim Kardashian proportions and "broke the internets".

Beckham Jr downplayed the catch after the game, "I hope it's not the greatest catch of all time," Beckham said. "I hope I can make more," reports ESPN

What's already being called 'The Catch' was obviously stunning, and unsurprisingly prompted a storm of tweets from high profile admirers:

As Deadspin pointed out though, Beckham Jr performs similar tricks regularly in practice

The ridiculous catch also prompted a series of excellent Beckham Jr memes

Unfortunately, amid all the hype and noise surrounding Beckham Jr's incredible catch, the 3-8 Giants would go on to lose the game on a Tony Romo touchdown pass to Dez Bryant in the last minute of the game. The win leaves Dallas equal with the Philadelphia Eagles atop the NFC east at 8-3.

What do you think? Was Odell Beckham Jr's catch the best you've ever seen? The best in NFL history? And do you think he'll ever take a catch that will be better?
