Fifty Shades of Grey movie casting for Christian Grey's character is gaining momentum as fans push for their choice actors for the part. One of the biggest contenders is Henry Cavill, a handsome British actor who will play superman in the 2013 film Man of Steel.

New rumors report that Cavill has already stopped by the film producer Michael De Luca's home office in California to discuss the role. Similar rumors arose last week regarding Ian Somerhalder meeting with filmmakers as well. However, producer Dana Brunette debunked that rumor by saying that the crew is only focusing on writer meetings and finding.

Fans have created pages on social media websites in support of why they believe Cavill would be the perfect actor for the Christian Grey role. Some even went as far as to find connections that Grey was a character inspired by Cavill.

A Dunhill fragrance and cologne ad featuring Cavill in 2008 poses a striking resemblance to the billionaire Christian Grey, according to fans. Cavill is dressed in an expensive and sharp looking dark colored suit with a beautiful young woman standing on the helipad for a helicopter.

Cavill is not a well known actor in the States now, however his career is definitely on a rise due to lead role in Man of Steel. Some say that it is an advantage for him to play Grey over some other contenders due to their established image in cinema.

Other contenders popular contenders include Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder, and Ryan Gosling.
