Manchester City face Bayern Munich in their must-win UEFA Champions League clash. If City were to lose this group clash, it's highly likely that they'd be sent crashing out of the UCL. Financially, that would be a huge negative on their season. City have struggled year after year, and they're hoping to have a BIG win to change their season, and European fortunes around, and Sergio Aguero predicted that it's "on its way," but can they find that against an excellent Bayern?
Coach Manuel Pellegrini insisted, "Nobody in the whole team is happy about the way we have played this stage of the group. We have on Tuesday, our last chance to try to win this year, to beat Bayern Munich and continue to have chances to go to the next stage." However, one can wonder, does he believe they can beat one of the best teams in the world?
Just a matter of days ago, Aguero predicted that things would get better. He explained, "Of course we understand the people who have been criticising us. The club invests in top players and the fans want to see more from us. But we still have time to put things right. The supporters here are more respectful and patient but they still expect a bit more from all of us. We can still turn it around, though."
Will Aguero's prediction, and Pellegrini's optimism be shown against Munich, or will City fall short, suffering a devastating blow, forcing the club to wait until next year to aim for UCL glory?
