In a recent interview, "You & I" singer John Legend revealed that he didn't think his now-wife Chrissy Teigen was "the one," when he first met her. That, however, changed and the two tied the knot in September 2013 in Italy.

The "Ordinary People" singer admitted that when he met Teigen seven years ago, it wasn't love at first sight. "Not right away," Legend told Los Angeles Confidential (via Us Weekly), when asked if he fell for the model immediately.

"I'm more cautious than that. I wasn't like, 'This is the woman I'm going to marry' from day one. For me I'm the kind of person who needs to grow into that feeling. It was probably a couple of years in when I could already see us being together forever."

In Cosmopolitan's June 2014 issue, Teigen revealed that she didn't always think that she was going to marry the singer either. "The worst thing you can do is try to lock someone like that down early on, then have them think, There's so much more out there. I played it cool for a long time. Never once did I ask, 'What are we?' Marriage was never my goal, because I've never been very traditional. I was just happy to be with him," Teigen explained to the publication.

Since meeting in 2007, the couple has clearly grown together and they are head over heels for one another. Legend wrote his hit song, "All of Me," about Teigen, which is romantic and a great gesture of love. Plus, a year after they said "I do," the happy couple vacationed in celebration of their marriage in Paris and couldn't stop sharing pictures in the city of love.

"Took John to see other boobs for our anniversary to make up for the 364 days of the year I'm insufferable (ps they are insanely talented and not just boobs)," Teigen wrote jokingly on Instagram with a picture of Legend surrounded by cabaret women in September.
