We are just about halfway through Season 3 of Aaron Sorkin's critically acclaimed HBO political drama, The Newsroom. In the final episodes, the breaking news seems to have taken a toll on the his ACN news team, anchorman Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels)'s career is put on the line in Contempt if he does not give up his source if front.

As we previously mentioned, Sloan Sabbith (Olivia Munn) discovered the cable company was in the midst of a hostile takeover. Due to budget cuts, Reese Lansing (Chris Messina) might have to hand out pink slips as ratings continue to take a nosedive. Neal Sampat (Dev Patel) received classified government files from an anonymous whistleblower.

In our recent recap, things got so bad for the ACN news team that they rehired lawyer Rebecca Halliday (Marcia Gay Harden). Leona Lansing (Jane Fonda) promised money that she doesn't have to save her company. Neal became a wanted man on FBI's list after failing to reveal the identity of his source.

In our latest recap, Neal is still on the run from the FBI, who just raided the ACN offices. The government doesn't care if if Will is a celebrity or not, he has to show up in court and give up the name of Neal's source. Charlie (Sam Waterston) met with the millionaire Lucas Pruitt (B.J. Novak), who has plans to change ACN and make it better.

Check out the preview here:

In the footage, we can see Jim (John Gallagher Jr.) arguing with his girlfriend Hallie Shea (Grace Gummer) because he thinks her tabloid job is beneath her. Lucas Pruitt returns with a promising offer to make Will famous and bring ACN back up. With the stocks going down, how long does the entire news team have before they're all out of the job?

The big question is: can Will bring Neal back home safely if he has to appear in front of a judge and jury?

The Newsroom continues its final season on HBO, Sunday at 9pm. Readers, are you excited to see Contempt?
