The young celebrity spawn continued about coming out of his cocaine addiction, "I'm thankful for my family and everybody that cares about me, including my fans. I've been blessed with the programs of AA and NA which allow me to rise above this disease. I'm learning to accept my faults and be ok."

Hanks graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in theater, during this time he entered the spotlight, and not from his father's fame but from a rap song titled "White and Purple," a take on Wiz Khalifa's rap, "Black and Yellow."
