Now that the winter finale of the Batman prequel, Gotham, has aired on Fox, there are already plans to take this DC Comics TV show even further. Will Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett-Smith) and Oswald Coppleput, aka The Penguin (Robin Taylor), ignite the riot that will intensify the mob war between them?

In our previous recap, Gordon (McKenzie) has hired a lawyer, Harvey Dent (Nicholas D'Agosto), brave enough to take on Gotham's violent mob bosses. While Dent flips Two-Face's infamous coin, Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) is already infatuated with bad girl, Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova). Everybody ends up in the crossfire as Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett-Smith) blows up Carmine's millions.

In the winter finale, a shadowy figure sent in assassins to get rid of the eye witness. In front of Fish (Smith), Carmine shot a friend in the head to show he wouldn't stop until he found out who destroyed his money. Working with Maroni, the Penguin (Taylor) is holding out from telling Carmine that his live-in maid/lover is actually Fish's seductress.

In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Danny Cannon reveals the Penguin will take a big swing in the mob war storyline.

Cannon explains, "Well, you see, the thing about Penguin and his Machiavellian genius is the fact that he's actually the one inciting the riot. He's the one whispering in everyone's ear. It's much more about the way that he's trying to make the way things work, the hierarchy, collapse. So even though there are going to be some major roadblocks for Penguin, he's clear on his mission, which is to bring it all down.

We previously mentioned the detectives will meet a younger version of Doctor Jonathan Crane, aka The Scarecrow, the super-villain who uses chemicals to induce fear. We also mentioned Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarat) will also make her way into the Batman mythology on the TV show. Leslie will be meeting with Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) in Arkham Asylum.
