After becoming a big hit on HBO, George R.R. Martin's popular fantasy/medieval novels are about to be released in the videogame format. TellTale Games' Game of Thrones Episode 1, featuring the characters made famous by Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell), Lena Headey, (Cersei Lannister) and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), are about to land on Mac and PC this December.

As we previously mentioned, Telltale announced they were working on the Game of Thrones videogame at the VGX awards last year. There hadn't been much news about the game until the developers spoke up through their social media site. The game developers used a quote from Martin's A Dance With Dragons and came up with a hashtag.

The caption stated, "'...with clan names like FORRESTER' GameOfThrones: A @TelltaleGames Series Based on the @HBO Series #IronFromIce"

Then another photo was released through their official Facebook page. The quote states, "...A wood of stubborn sentinel tries armored in grey-green needles of mighty oaks, of IRONWOODS, as old as the realm itself."

We also reported that the Telltale's community and PR specialist Laura Perusco dropped a major hint on her official Twitter account.

Perusco responded, "No specific release date announced yet, but I can confirm that the season IS premiering later this year. :)"

The TellTale's Twitter account recently released these following dates:

12/2 PC/Mac; PS4 SCEA

12/3 Xbox One & 360; PS4 SCEE

12/4 iOS

IGN confirms these dates and also mentions the full launch trailer will be available to watch on December 1. The teaser trailer features faces we instantly remmeber from the HBO series. We will have to wait and see how much action gamers will be getting into.

Check out the teaser trailer here, which also features Headey's voiceover narration:

The launch trailer for Telltale Games' Game of Thrones arrives this December 1. Readers, are you excited to play the Games of Thrones videogame?
