The Real Housewives of New York pulled a pretty big move to try to save the show from getting canceled due to poor ratings. In a bid to save the sinking series, Bravo enlisted former housewife Bethenny Frankel to come back to RHONY at a pretty hefty price tag. But it seems that Bravo may be regretting the move, as Frankel has not been bringing the drama. Instead of causing tension with her costars, Frankel is looking to use the opportunity to play nice and rebuild her image.

So could Bethenny choosing to play nice mean the end of the New York Housewives?

According to Radar Online, Bethenny's using the opportunity to hock her Skinnygirl products rather than stir up drama with the other women.

"Bethenny is insisting on featuring her Skinnygirl products at every opportunity," the source explained to the site. "The requests from Bethenny have crew members concerned the upcoming season will be one big promo for all things Bethenny."

The producers would be fine with all the promotion if Bethenny was delivering on the drama, which she reportedly isn't.

"As far as bringing the drama to spice things up, Bethenny is proving to be a downer in that department too," the insider revealed. "She is trying to be the mother hen, and providing support to LuAnn de Lesseps as she begins dating after her breakup with Jacques."

It seems Bethenny has grown from her time away from the series, as she's said to have brought her daytime talk show skills back to the series and is doling out advice to the girls.

"Producers brought Bethenny back to spice things up, and she is acting like some sort of advice guru," the insider revealed.

And it seems that Bethenny doesn't want to continue the same behavior she has displayed in the past, as she told People, "I made my entire living on Bravo crying for eight years."

Fans will have to tune in to the series when it premieres in 2015 to see if Frankel can bring in the ratings.
