Before he burst on to the Hip Hop scene, Kid Ink was an underground rapper known for his vocals, his appearance and the stunning art work that covers his toned body. His tattoos mean so much to him that they're often a key factor behind his songs- see "Tattoo of My Name" - and you're probably wondering where his inspiration came from, right? His latest album My Own Lane has seen his career propel forward, and his next release, which he seems to be working hard on, could help him become the best rapper on the planet. He has explained that former NBA star Allen Iverson was the reason he fell in love with tattoos, but will he become as big of a star as Allen grew to be?

Ink just wowed the United Kingdom with a long, sell-out tour, and his stock across Europe couldn't be any higher, but now that he's back stateside, can he raise his game to the next level? His latest album had stars like Chris Brown and more as guests, and already one of his latest songs, "Body Language," features Usher, proving he has the a-list music friends to keep him atop the rap game.

He will often explain that he has "no idea" of how many tattoos he has, but he's clear on one thing, they're Iverson inspired. In a recent interview, he went as far to say that Iverson inspired much of the body art the world's enjoying in the modern day.

With his third major album in the works, it's evident that this album will prove whether he's a part-time wonder, or a legit, next-level superstar, like his idol Iverson was, and still is across the sporting, and style worlds.
