Tony Scott Wife Donna To Keep Ashes, Death Reason Still Unknown

Tony Scott's wife Donna Scott will be keeping the ashes of the late Tony Scott in her home, E! News reported.  The couple has been married since they met on the set of "Days of Thunder" and have two young sons together. Scott apparently committed suicide over the Vincent Thomas Bridge of San Pedro on August 19, leaving notes for his loved ones and contact information for those who discover his death.  

The British director is most known for his big movie hit "Top Gun" starring Tom Cruise.  His sudden death came as a surprise for everyone because he seemed like a man who had everything going for him.  The contents of the suicide note and complete autopsy results have not been released yet.

When Scott's death was announced, an anonymous source revealed that Scott had "inoperable brain cancer" which caused him to jump the bridge.  However, autopsy results proved that there were not signs of cancer in his brain.  His wife and family were not even aware of any brain cancer and denied the rumors.

A private funeral was held last Friday (August 24) in Hollywood.  A memorial scholarship has been created in his name to provide for future filmmakers.  Instead of sending flowers, the family asked for fans and friends to make donations to the fund.
