The Walking Dead just wrapped up the first half of Season 5 with its midseason finale, entitled "Coda." But in all the sadness and emotion we felt from that episode, let's not forget that a spinoff series is still in the works at AMC. A new report says the show has cast two of its characters.

Deadline reports Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey have been cast in the spinoff series, which is tentatively titled "Cobalt." Adam Davidson will direct the new series.

The spinoff will occur at approximately the same time as The Walking Dead but in an entirely different location from the Georgia region where Rick Grimes and friends have been surviving. The series will tell the story of a divorced male teacher and a female guidance counselor who are fighting to stay alive amongst the zombies. Deadline reports Dillane and Carey will play the woman's son and daughter, respectively. The son has a drug problem, while the daughter is "ambitious."

The 23-year-old Dillane is perhaps best known for his work as a young Tom Riddle in Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince, while Carey has appeared in Into The Storm.
