Just in time for Christmas, astronaut Buzz Lightyear (Tom Hanks) and cowboy Woody (Tim Allen) are heading back to ABC for an all-new holiday special. Before the fourth installment hits theaters, Disney and Pixar have put together a half-hour cartoon special for television, Toy Story That Time Forgot.

As we previously mentioned, the animated program takes place during the Christmas season. Buzz (Hanks) and Woody (Allen) find themselves lost among some of the newest and coolest action figures. Realizing they are out of date, Buzz and Woody end up facing off against the newest action figures, Reptilus Maximus (Kevin McKidd) and Trixie the Triceratops (Kristen Schaal).

Among the voice guest stars are Wallace Shawn as Rex, Timothy Dalton as Mr. Pricklepants, Don Rickles as Mr. Potatoe Head, and Joan Cusack reprises her role as Jessie. The twist in the plot is that these action figures are dangerously delusional. Trixie (Schaal) has to help the the old-school toys get back to Bonnie's room.

As mentioned here, anyone attending the 2014 San Diego Comic Con were given a special poster drawn by Hellboy writer/artist Mike Mignola. The 30 Rock actress was also in attendance at a panel, discussing her role.

The Flight of the Concords actress explains how she become a dinosaur, "I did some research on dinosaurs; the extinction. They're gone. For Trixie, knowing that she survived, she has a carefree attitude now."

As we previously reported, a fourth installment of the beloved franchise has been announced and original Toy Story director John Lasseter  is back in the director's chair. Toy Story 4 is expected to hit the big screens sometime in June 2017.

Toy Story That Time Forgot premieres Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. on ABC. Readers, are you excited to see Buzz and Woody again?
