Russell Brand and Geri Halliwell Dating? British Stars Hit it Off Following London Olympics

According to rumors, a romance may be brewing between funnyman Russell Brand and Spice Girl Geri Halliwell. The duo hit it off backstage during the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony earlier in August, and they have periodically been spotted together ever since.

Last the two British stars were spotted was over the weekend at the Hampton Court Palace in London, enjoying a day out with Halliwell's 6-year-old daughter Bluebell. According to the British paper The Star, Brand, 37, and Halliwell, 40, are indeed a couple (although neither party has commented on the gossipy claims).

"Ginger Spice" recently provided some insight into her current relationship sitch to the British magazine Hello!  - "I'm not going into details. Right now there's nothing serious. I was a late starter on the romantic front. I didn't start dating until I was in my 30s . . . I quite like having somebody to cuddle. I like that intimacy, it would be wonderful."

Meanwhile, Brand's divorce to pop star Katy Perry was finalized in July. If the two British celebrities are indeed dating, let's not hope it's a quick fling romance like Perry's short-lived "relationship" with Hollywood playboy John Mayer.
