Arsenal's coach, Arsene Wenger, this week praised his opponents, explaining that we should have never underestimated the squad.
"They lost good players and they bought well. They started well and they got a severe defeat at home on Saturday, but until then, they did very well," he said. "They recruited mainly strikers because their defense is quite similar to last season, their midfield as well. Nathaniel Clyne, Jose Fonte, Yoshida - they bought Bertrand and kept Schneiderlin. They've still got all these players like Cork and Ward-Prowse who were there last year. It's just their strikers, who have come in very well."

Meanwhile, coach Ronald Koeman of Southampton stressed that his team is playing in the big leagues these days, despite having a not-so impressive side.
"We don't have the numbers and players what the big teams have, and that's difficult. It can be the same for other clubs fighting for the positions. But the top four clubs have more possibilities to bring players in. Often they can field a [whole] team of international players, we do not have that choice," he explained this week. "The club also does not have the experience of top four football like the other clubs - that is the difference at the moment, we don't have that mentality. We want to have that though. The club wants to stay in the position where we are now - everybody wants that."
