All we can say is thank the Lord Jesus H. Christ that Tom Cruise does hit own stunts. It's being reported that the famed actor and spokesperson for Scientology was almost hit by a bus while filming scenes for the upcoming Mission Impossible film, Mission: Impossible 5. Of course, he wasn't actually filming while he was nearly hit; he was just crossing the street. Maybe he just couldn't handle all those dating rumors about he and Miranda Kerr, or the ones dealing with ex-wife Katie Holmes and Orlando Bloom? Probably not... the guy just wasn't looking the right way, most likely forgetting that in London, cars drive the other way. Oops!

The Hollywood Reporter notes that the Edge of Tomorrow actor was nearly hit when he walked into oncoming traffic. Luckily, the bus wasn't going fast at all and beeped the actor out of the way (just like a normal person, ha!) with plenty of time for Cruise to hop back on the sidewalk and act like nothing ever happened.

Check out Cruise's killer real-life stunt below:

The fifth installment of the Mission: Impossible series will hit theaters next December (2015). The film will star Cruise alongside Jeremy Renner, Alec Baldwin and Rebecca Ferguson. Directing it will be Christopher McQuarrie, who also directed the aforementioned Jack Reacher. Oh no...
