To some, Amir Khan fighting Devon Alexander might just be a routine fight, but to Khan it's everything, as he must come out on top. If he loses, he can forget potential 2015 bouts against Manny Pacquiao, Kell Brook and Floyd Mayweather. However, if he wins, then he may just get his pick of the trio, all of whom present very different, yet intriguing options for the British boxing star. Recently, Khan insulted Brook, adding spice to that fight, but it's believed that he wants to fight the winner of Mayweather and Pacquiao. Will Khan win these bouts?

When discussing his upcoming fight, he insisted, "At this point it probably is a tougher fight than Kell Brook. I want the exciting fights and the tough fights. While I'm at this age, my peak, I want to be fighting the top guys. Obviously, Kell doesn't throw as many punches as Devon and he's quite easy to hit."

He continued: "Even though Kell beat Shawn Porter who beat Devon, styles make fights. Maybe that style Porter has suited Kell Brook. Maybe that's why Kell pulled out of the fight with Devon twice. He was smart by not taking that fight and then taking someone he knows he can fight and beat. With me, I want to give the fans what they want and they want to see this fight between me and Devon. That's what they're getting. Two prime fighters who are young and hungry and want to win. You never really get this in boxing. We could have both fought other people."

Khan might step in to the ring as the favourite, and to many it might be a "nothing fight," but the difference between losing and winning could prove to be career-changing, and for that reason, this might be the best in-ring Khan the boxing world has seen.
