Celebrities aren't as alien as you would think; many of them started working jobs in retail, even wearing funky costumes to make a few bucks. Kanye West worked at the Gap, Amy Adams was a Hooters waitress and one of the biggest actors on the planet wore a chicken suit! One thing is for certain, most would not choose to go back to their minimum wage jobs. Here is a list of some of the most outrageous jobs they had before they were famous.

Kanye West - Sales assistant at Gap

Back in high school, the husband of Kim Kardashian worked at the retail clothing store, the Gap. He has even mentioned it in a song off his on The College Dropout album. "Let's go back, back to the Gap/ Look at my check, wasn't no scratch/ So If I stole, wasn't my fault."

Brad Pitt - Dressed in a chicken suit for El Pollo Loco

According to NBC Los Angeles, this was the actors first job when he came to Hollywood, dressing in a chicken suit and waving at cars to come in!

Black Shelton - Roofer

The Voice judge's first job was roofing houses in the summer, making $8.00 an hour. He was able to work for his stepfather, who owned the roofing company.

Jay-Z - Drug Dealer

"I know about budgets. I was a drug dealer," he said in an interview with Vanity Fair with contributing editor Lisa Robinson "To be in a drug deal, you need to know what you can spend, what you need to re-up.

Victoria Beckham - Sperm on roller skates

Posh is that you? According to many media outlets, the former "Spice Girl" wore a sperm costume on roller skates for the BBC sex-education show, "Body Matters"

Channing Tatum - Stripper

While the job doesn't seem too far off from the "Magic Mike XXL" movie, some may not know that this is how he got his start! (In dancing that is.) "The 'convention' was not strippers peddling stripper technology or anything like that. It was just a big show with 50 to 70 strippers and 2,000 to 3,000 women. It was crazy. Whoopi Goldberg - Morgue Beautician

Hugh Jackman - PE teacher

Wolverines can have real jobs too! His students at England's Uppingham School once called the Marvel comics star Mr. Jackman. The actor even ran into one of his old students -- who is now an entertainment reporter -- and said, "Rollo, I'm sorry mate," Jackman interjected, "but we go way back, I used to teach you at a high school in P.E., and I want to know how your physical education is progressing. It's very important to me."

Amy Adams - Hooters waitress

"I did it because I needed to buy a car," People magazine reported the star telling London's Mail.

Vince Vaughn - Lifeguard at YMCA

"When I was younger I was a lifeguard at a YMCA and I was late too any times," Vaughn told ABC 7.

Eva Mendes - Hot Dog on a Stick Girl

"They are very strict about that, you have to rotate and dip the dog and do the lemonade and do the cash register- it's a whole thing," she said of her time at the mall food chain.

Christopher Walken - Lion Tamer

"I did I worked in a circus, just one lion, a female."
