It seems Charles Barkley has a lot to say when it comes to the Ferguson protest, and now the "no indictment" decision that was handed down by a grand jury in New York this week, after Eric Garner, who was a black man died by a white police officer when put in a "chokehold."

The decision comes just one week after, a grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri. reached a "no indictment" decision regarding the death of an unarmed black teen, Michael Brown when he was shot by Ferguson police officer, Darren Wilson.

Barkley, who called looters in Ferguson "scumbags," believes that Garner was not murdered in the New York case.

During an interview with CNN Barkley said:

"I don't think that was a homicide. I think the cops were trying to arrest him and they got a little aggressive," Barkley said to CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin. "I think excessive force — something like that — but to go straight to murder?

"When the cops are trying to arrest you, if you fight back, things go wrong. I don't think they were trying to kill Mr. Garner," Barkley said. "He was a big man and they were trying to get him down."

Barkley threw shade at those who think that white officers target black people.

"The notion that white cops are out there just killing black people is ridiculous. It's flat-out ridiculous," the former Houston Rockets star said. "I challenge any black person to make that point. Cops are absolutely awesome. They're the only thing in the ghetto (separating this place) from this place being the wild, wild west."

Though Barkley continues to be criticized by people all over the U.S., including some of his friends, like NBA analyst Kenny Smith, Barkley makes it clear that he sees their point that, "everyone wants to protect their own tribe, whether they are right or wrong."

"We all have bad characters in in our groups. My grandmother taught me you judge everybody on their own individual merit. You you don't care what any other jackass has to say. You don't put everybody together. Black is not always right and white is not always wrong."

"We as black people, we have a lot of crooks. We can't just wait until something like (the Brown shooting) happens. We have to look at ourselves in the mirror." Barkley adds, "There is a reason that they racially profile us in the way they do. Sometimes it is wrong, and sometimes it is right."
