'Bill Cosby Dead' started to trend worldwide after someone planted a lie on his Facebook page on August 27, 2012. Many people wondered if it was true that the beloved "Cosby Show" star had passed away.  At 73 years old, Cosby was proud to show the world that he was alive and healthy via one simple post on Twitter that showed an old photo of him in a blue sweater along with the caption, "I've never met anyone who didn't like this one!"

What started as a joke on Facebook and Twitter became a deadly trend which sparked many complaints and disappoint.  Social media websites have opened a whole new world of possibilities, however some people have used it to harm others.

Those who grew up watching the comedian's show remember Cosby as a kind and warm-hearted person.  The question posed by many was "Why would anyone think of starting such a hurtful and false rumor before getting their facts straight?"

One Facebook user and self-professed troll created a Facebook page titled R.I.P. Bill Cosby which gained 315,843 likes in less than two days.

Gormon finally spoke the truth today. "With the recent slowdown of likes and high amount of attention from news sources (mostly terrible gossip websites), I have come to the conclusion that I should tell you all the truth."

"Bill Cosby is not deceased. I made around 315 THOUSAND people angry... Anyway I trolled the hell out of all of you and you should be ashamed... I love you all for making me laugh at your stupidity for the past day and a half. You're great."

The young man warned about more future celebrity deaths in the near future.

In less than one hour after he revealed the truth, nearly 700 responses filled the page.  Many people scolded the young man and some even threatened to sue the minor.

"You don't play like that!!! It's stupid and heartless jerk," wrote Sandra Mercedes Hernandez-Velasco.

"This page has been reported," wrote Kathy Johnson.

A police officer warned him and wrote, "I am an officer and i will be looking into this, you can go to jail. i will be calling the F.B.I SOON AS I GET OFF i now have your name so the FBI will be seen you soon"

Another concerned Facebook user said, "glad he is alive and well...try putting your time an energy into positve motion...you have some serious psych and behavior concerns ...good luck"

Cosby has not issued an official statement yet like he did when he was victimized in a death hoax in August of 2010.

"I don't want [whoever spread the rumor] to do this anymore, because this is my fourth time being reported [dead] ... I just want to say to friends of that person: Just tell him to stop, because it isn't funny," Cosby said to CNN.

Enough is enough.
