Could "Glitter & Ribs" be 2015's first Top 10 hit for Taylor Swift? The pop superstar has a new song to record and, while it might not be on her hit 2014 album 1989, it was written for Tay-Tay specially by Billy on the Street host Billy Eichner ... and judging from the video below, it sounds perfect for the "Shake It Off" star. The only thing it needs is perhaps a mention of a 2015 dating rumor or taking down an ex-boyfriend like Ed Sheeran or Harry Styles.

As Billy tells Conan, the song centers around the most perplexing and confusing aspect of relationships: "Taylor Swift is writing about the most important topic, which is what happens when your boyfriend doesn't text you back, and I think that's so essential, Conan!"

As Jezebel points out, "Glitter & Ribs" "fits perfectly into her signature girl-meets-boy narrative," considering it contains lyrical gems like: "He was a boy / I was a girl / What more do you need to know? / He was a boy, he walked through the door / He was a door-walking-through boy" and "You'll never know my heart like my heart knows my heart."

It tackles the usual Tay-Tay heart-rending situation — a confused girl trying to make sense of a guy — but also involves making out while "wearing bibs."

The song has been picking up more steam — it was originally written by Eichner and turned into a Funny or Die clip, which you can watch below — so we can only hope Taylor is listening and in the market for new songs post-1989.

It has been a tremendous year for Billy, with his Amy Poehler-produced TV series Difficult People being picked up by Hulu for a full series order. Eichner — who'll also be a guest The Late Late Show host this winter — will star opposite Julie Klausner, and as The Hollywood Reporter explains, the pair will play "two best friends living in New York City with the series centering on their typical, irreverent behavior that lands them in some very awkward situations."

Production on Difficult People will reportedly start next year.
