'Parks and Recreation' Final Season Jennifer Lopez Cast- "Booty" Songstress Joining Amy Poehler & Adam Scott This January For Season 7

The final season of Parks and Recreation has just got even more star-studded for it's final season, as the NBC series has just added a little more "Booty" to the cast. American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez will be boarding the ship for the seventh and final season, as the actress will be playing Ben (Adam Scott) and Leslie's (Amy Poehler) nanny in the new episodes.

According to TVLIne, Poehler was the one who broke the news herself, telling Michael Ausiello that viewers will get to meet the couple's triplet's caretaker and she even confirmed the casting, as she jokingly explained the actress's name "rhymes with Bennifer Topez."

PS that name is very reminiscent of Jennifer and Ben Affleck's couple name. Does it make anyone miss the days when they were together?

Anyway, enough nostalgia, other guest stars that will be making their way to Pawnee in the final few episodes, include Rachel Dratch, Jon Hamm, and Megan Mullaly's beloved character of Tammy, all making their returns.

According to USA Today, the series is planning to have short final run, as they will be airing the last 13 episodes over a seven-week period. NBC will be showing back-to-back episodes starting on January 13 and end with the one-hour series final on February 24.

NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt explained the reason for this in a statement, via The Hollywood Reporter.

"In an effort to give it the sendoff it deserves, we wanted to 'eventize' the final season to maximize the impact of these episodes," Greenblatt stated. "The highly anticipated one-hour finale will air behind The Voice in order to lead the largest audience possible into what promises to be a very special hour of television."

The final episode will air on February 24 at 9 pm.
