Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling might have just added a baby to their family, but the couple has reportedly been feuding over one of Gosling's former flames. It seems that when his The Notebook co-star and former girlfriend Rachel McAdams called to congratulate the couple on their bundle of joy, Mendes was less than happy about the phone call.

According to Radar Online, the couple welcomed their baby girl Esmeralda back in September. However, jealousy has taken over Eva as she has even gone as far as to ban Ryan from talking to his ex in the future.

Ryan and Rachel met on the set of The Notebook in 2004 and dated for a while following, but now that Ryan has settled down with Eva, The National Enquirer is speculating that his girlfriend might be jealous that he would leave her to go back to McAdams.

"Rachel had the best of intentions when she called," an insider told the news site. "She wanted to congratulate Ryan on the baby, but also to find out how he was doing."

"Eva didn't appreciate Rachel ringing Ryan at their home, and made that clear to Ryan," a source explained. "It caused a big scene. Now Eva's banned him from taking Rachel's calls."

However, despite these claims Rachel has been reportedly linked to her Southpaw co-star Jake Gyllenhaal in the past few months.

Depsite the rumors that Rachel is trying to win Ryan back, the website is reporting that she "wants to maintain a friendship with him," but nothing more.
