It's finally that time of year - hockey season!
The Montreal Canadiens battle it out on the ice against the Chicago Blackhawks in Week 8 of the regular season on Friday, December 5 at 8:30 p.m. EST at the United Center in Illinois. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Friday evening hockey game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
Following the first few opening weeks of the 2014 regular season, the Canadiens snag the No. 11 spot in Scott Burnside's official NHL power rankings for ESPN.com with a 17-8-2 winning record:
"Sorry, you lose twice in a row to the Sabres, you have no business being in the top 10 of the Power Rankings. Get back to us next week, Habs."
Meanwhile, the Blackhawks currently hold the equally impressive No. 6 spot (out of 30 total teams) with a 16-8-1 record. According to Burnside:
"The Blackhawks are starting to cook, with wins in six of seven, and they wrapped up their annual circus road trip with an impressive 5-1 record. Look out, Central."
The game will be broadcasted live on local channels CSNC and RDS, but fans can also listen in on the radio at 98,5 FM, TSN 690, WGN, and WBUZ.
